ik woon (weer) een paar dagen in de PAIR en werk aan de voltooiing van Kiraly 3: Kéménymadár, Bird from the Chimney. het is een ‘bio-grafische partituur voor minimaal vier musici, en ik druk m zelf. Lino.
ik schrijf ‘m met Ensemble Studio 6 in het achterhoofd.

de PAIR is een plek van concentratie. een eiland van zelfredzaamheid. ook al lijken de condities bij mij thuis (klein, houtkachel, watertank, gasfles, koffie) op die in de PAIR, toch doe ik hier in twee dagen meer dan in twee weken thuis. De goede boeken, het goede gereedschap. koffie en een goed bed. En voelen dat er lijnen lopen naar anderen. Zorgvuldigheid. Koesteren.

I’m living in the PAIR for a couple of days. Working to finish Kiraly 3: Kéménymadár, Bird from the Chimney.
A ‘bio-grafical score for a minimum of four musicians, and i’m cutting and printing it myself. Lino. Writing with Ensemble Studio 6 in mind.
The PAIR (again) proofs to be a place of concentration, an island of autarky. And even though conditions at my place are much the same (small, woodstove, water tank gas tank, coffee) in the PAIR I achieve more in two days, than at home in two weeks. The right books, the tools. coffee and a good bed. To feel that threads lead from this place to others. Carefully cherish that..
